Why Baby Minimalist?
Let's begin with a quick introduction to who we, the team here at My Baby Minimalist are and what our mission is.
We are a small but motivated company specializing in Mom and Baby accessories. Don't worry, we also show dads our love and appreciation here 😊. In fact, our small team is made up of persons from a variety of backgrounds: proud aunt, moms, a dad with 2 kids, a stepmom (though she prefers to be called a bonus mom😉) and a single mom-to-be (in the future.)
We have all experienced so many things in our lives but we all have one thing in common; we believe in keeping our lives simple so that we can focus on the more important issues in this world.
That is what connects all of us and that is what we want to share with you, our valued community here at MBM (My Baby Minimalist.)
We also believe passionately in great bargains and excellent service, which is why we commit ourselves to give you the best of both.
If you’re looking for something new, you’re in the right place. We strive to be industrious and innovative, offering our customers something they want, putting your desires at the top of our priority list.
Minimalist Approach to Your Life
Enough about us, let's talk about why minimalism is so important. Firstly, everyone has a different approach to minimalism. Some jump right into it; selling or giving away everything they have. Others prefer to slowly incorporate minimalist values into their life.
Why should you consider minimalism for you and your babies' everyday life?
Let's discuss 3 benefits to minimalism and what it can do for you!
Benefits of Minimalist Living
Living a minimalist lifestyle allows you to anchor yourself. The purpose of a physical anchor is to allow you to remain steady and firm despite the chaos and storms surrounding you. An anchor will ensure you remain where you want to be and not to be tossed and turned, carried around in random directions.
Isn't this how we want our lives to be? We want to do what we decide to do, not allowing our surroundings to dictate what we should be doing or getting distracted with unnecessary items that do not serve us. In fact, all the "extras" in life takes you further away from your ultimate goal:
Living a happy life!
Sounds contradictory doesn't it? How can simplifying your life bring you abundance?
Think about it, so many people will complain about how "busy" they are but if you were to ask them what they did that day, they would have a hard time pinpointing anything specifically. Why is this? Because they did not do anything purposeful or even memorable.
There are so many meaningless tasks that come up throughout the day and even when we are home but that's all they are; empty distractions. But what if you did not have every latest tech device, kitchen gadget, so many home décor items that you can open up a store and more.
When you release what isn't important, what doesn't serve you, then you free up so much more of your time and energy to do what does light you up inside.
Minimalism essentially means that you are living your life with intentionality. Nothing is random for you, you are mindful about every decision you make.
So what is your aim? What is your intention? Take a few minutes and really think about it. You want your mission to be strong enough to support your conviction that you do not need all the clutter in you and your babies lives that you think you do.
You can do it!
The best part? We are with you! We also aim to live an inspired life filled with love, laughter and meaning.
You and Your Baby Can Do This!
So now you know how you can live a minimalist life but what about your baby?
Well, you can do this for them too.
Yes, there are certain things that babies need a ton of ie. diapers, wipes etc. But babies seem to grow exponentially each day so do they really need a closet full of clothes for each season? Clothes that they won't be able to wear for long and that you will end up giving away anyway?
Here's a key tip for your minimalist baby:
Focus on a central item that you would like to emphasize: a cute bow, unique tights or socks, or a stand out cap on their heads. For the rest of their outfit, keep it simple and neutral. When you keep some elements of their wardrobe minimal, you are able to draw attention to their focus piece and have an adorably chic baby style.
